Bourette yarn is a silky fabric with a coarse, rustic, lustreless surface; the bourette silk is in an unbleached, natural colour. Woven in linen weave from coarse, uneven yarn from natural silk waste. The nappy liner name is derived from the type of bourette silk yarn used.
