Designed with newborns in mind the Coco Mat is all about getting your baby off to sleep safely. Made using entirely organic materials which naturally help regulate air flow and body temperature.

The gentle spring of the coir is surrounded by plenty of organic lambswool with our natural anti-dust mite protection.

This helps with insulation and provides a soft tufting to the top of the mattress.

The Coco Mat is filled with organic coir from the only certified plantation in the world.

Coir is made from coconut. It has excellent temperature regulating qualities to prevent your baby from overheating.

The mattress has a removable outer cover with a zip at one end.

Mattress covers made from 100% unbleached natural cotton herringbone fabric.

The inner cover is made from the same high quality material (crib mattress has only one layer).

Inside the inner cover is a layer of organic lambswool tufting, which is naturally fire retardant, anti dust-mite and an excellent thermal regulator, ensuring the mattress is cosy in winter and cool in summer.

Our mattresses are hand made in a Devon factory and can be made to any shape or size.

If the mattress is oval in shape or has rounded corners, we will require a paper template of the existing mattress but if the mattress is rectangular, dimensions (length and width) are all we need.

Naturally Fire Retardant; Naturalmat are proud to be the first company in the UK to pass all British Standards, European and USA fire regulations without the use of any chemicals, unnatural treatments or fire retardant additives.

The organic lambswool comes exclusively from local farms around Devon and Dorset who are certified organic by the Soil Association. The organic lambswool is washed in water from the river Dart. The organic lambswool is bathed in a mixture of essential oils of lavender, lemon and eucalyptus, which renders the mattresses anti-dust mite and gives certified allergy protection.

More and more babies suffer from allergies and asthma, which are caused by dust mites. Naturalmat work hard to protect your baby from them.

Dust mites are killed at 57° and as every mattress has a removable pure cotton cover which can be machine washed at 60°, those pesky dust mites don’t stand a chance.

Do Naturalmat mattresses need to be turned?

The mattress fillings are naturally very resilient and durable but it is good practice to turn any mattress every 3 months.

Do Naturalmat mattresses pass the British safety standards?

Yes, of course. Safety is of paramount importance to us. Natural Mat mattresses not only pass all the required British safety standards (BS EN597, BS 7177, BS 1877 Part 10) but they are one of the only UK manufacturers to do so without using any chemical fire retardants.

  Great Product  I have now bought 2 of these mattresses for my 2 small chilren. They are comfortable, and seem to be quite good quality. Both babies sleep very well, and I am happy knowing that they are not sleeping on chemical-filled mattresses. Delivery is also very speedy, and you get a timeslot (on the day)!   (23/01/2012) -

  Seems to be a great product  THe delivery was speedy and efficient, and the mattress itself is good looking and seems quite solid. It is thinner than the mattress it replaced (but still within the guidelines), but firmer. My baby has slept very well on it since it arrived, and I am more relaxed knowing there are no chemicals.   (09/03/2011) -

  Lovely mattress   We researched mattresses long and hard before buying the Coco Mat. We are delighted with it. It fits the cot perfectly, feels firm yet comfertable to the touch. It hasn't been slept on yet and that will be the test, but all in all we are extremely impressed.   (19/09/2012) -
